A Runner’s Career

For a reason unknown even to myself, I have kept all of my running shoes since
the start of my current practice. I decided to illustrate the development of my running
pursuit by photographing the shoes in a similar style as footwear is presented
in catalogues and advertisements. They are my shoes, with their personal scuff
marks, but at the same time they are also anonymous footwear that any contemporary
runner can identify with.
